Hayley's Testimonial
Hector’s Greyhound Rescue, January 2022.
When our Rescue moved to West Wales, I was desperate to find an orthopaedic surgeon to work with the ex-racing greyhounds who come into our care with horrific injuries. We found Kate O’Sullivan and have never looked back. Kate and her team have been amazing with our dogs. They have performed some very complex surgeries and also dealt with several dogs we rescued after being involved in road traffic accidents. We are honoured to say that Kate is our Veterinary Surgeon and are confident in the high standard that shows in her work. We would have no hesitation in recommending Mill Referrals.
Kate Hovers Testimonial
BVSc CertSHP MRCVS January 2022.
I have been a vet in general practice for 38 years. When there is something wrong with my dogs that I cannot fix, I turn to Kate. She first operated on Shiva, a working sheepdog, who had an angry ewe head-butt her stifle. This was more than a straightforward cruciate op, but Shiva not only recovered well, she returned to active work and life for many years. When my ten year-old collie, Ginny, ruptured her cruciate ligament in January 2021, I took her to Kate for surgery and again she has recovered to active life, both working sheep and coming walking and running with me. I have referred several cases to Kate over the years and my clients have been universally happy with the service. I have great faith in the high standard of work and care given by Kate and her staff at Mill Referrals.

Dianne has been my vet of choice for more than 25 years. She has performed life saving and life changing surgeries on my assortment of rescued animals, both soft tissue and orthopaedic with great success in every case.
Dianne is empathetic and deeply caring towards animal and owner, extremely honest about the prognosis and always advises in the best interests of the animal. Presenting a dearly loved pet for surgery is traumatic but every time I have done so is with confidence that it is in the best hands.
The ambience Dianne and Judith have created is first class, the welcome warm and professional. I have no hesitation in recommending this practice and wish Mill referrals every possible success.

Ann's Testimonial
On Retirement I moved to mid wales with my 4 border collies to pursue my passion for training and competing in competitive obedience. Sadly my 8 month old border collie puppy was attacked by another dog causing an injury to his hind leg.
I immediately took my puppy to see Dianne Batten who with a quick look stated he had ruptured his achilles tendon. Dianne then spent time explaining the injury to me in a way that I could understand, and the options available to me. I agreed to the surgery but was fully aware of the risks.
It was a long haul following the surgery but Dianne was with me every step of the way. I took the puppy to see her every two weeks for 3 months when she physically examined him and then continued her support by being available either on the phone or in person at anytime day or night.
Surfice to say I am now travelling the country extensively competing in obedience with this dog every weekend and he is now regularly winning. I anticipate he will continue successfully on the road to Crufts.
I really don't believe that there is a veterinary surgeon in the country that could have done any more for my puppy or myself during this very traumatic time.
During my dog training career I have attended many of the large referral centres, but having experienced the tailor made individual care and attention given by Dianne, I would recommend her to everybody!
The moral of this story is: if in doubt go and see Dianne - and watch out for that puppy Ozzie at crufts!!
